Powerboat (RIB) Rides

‘Onboard’ marine experiences provide ‘on-the-water’ activities, from short duration RIB trips to luxury power cruiser trips, from Gunwharf Quays marina (just a short walk from the centre  of Gunwharf Quays!).

We offer a range of affordable experiences from short-duration RIB trips that blast you around the Solent, to full days on the water aboard a luxury flybridge power-cruiser.

You can find us at the ‘Onboard’ kiosk, adjacent to the marina entrance on Gunwharf Quays waterfront. We also sell gift experience vouchers from Gunwharf Quays which make excellent birthday and Christmas gifts.

Our high-power 8m RIBs are extremely fast but safe, and powered by a Yamaha 250hp outboard, they can carry up to 10 passengers at speeds of over 50 mph ! Full MCA safety equipment carried and highly experienced skippers have a detailed knowledge of the Solent, to ensure you’ll have a great time. (Lifejackets are mandatory, and waterproofs available if required ) Pre-book to avoid disappointment during busy peak periods.

Solent Forts Blast - £ 20 per person:  A ‘scenic blast’ around the Napoleonic Forts, midway across the Solent.
A scenic tour of the harbour/historic war ships. A high speed tour of the Solent. Speeds of up to 50mph. Up-close view of the forts from the water.
Experience lasts approx. 40 mins - departs Gunwharf Quays every hour, at weekends /school holidays

Sea and Sky Experience  -  £32 per person: A 60 mins. high speed tour of the Solent and view from the Spinnaker Tower.
Tour of the historic harbour/Naval docks. A ‘scenic blast’ around the Napoleonic Forts. Cross to the Isle of Wight. Unique close-up view of the forts as we pass en-route to IOW. Return to Gunwharf  - whisked up the Spinnaker Tower, towering 170 meters above Gunwharf Quays. Trace your trip around the Solent from the high level viewing platform !

Half day Cowes RIB adventure - £55 per person : A scenic trip with lunch break in Cowes
Half day RIB adventure departs 10.30 hrs aboard a high-power, 8.0 m RIB. Brief tour of the historic harbour - out into the Solent viewing historic highlights, Napoleonic Forts, Mary Rose wreck site etc.  Lunch break stop in famous sailing town of Cowes - Enjoy a drink/light-lunch at a waterside bar/café.  Back aboard for more excitement en-route to Portsmouth.
Experience lasts approx 3.5 hours and departs every weekend.

Private boat charters  -  from £650  : The ultimate day on the water
Private charter with the whole boat exclusively for your family/group. Our RIBs carry up to 10 people & cruisers up to 14 people, for a private trip/day on the water. Tell us your requirements and we’ll create a bespoke package for your group. We can include almost anything, from a beach picnic to an elegant lunch aboard a luxury motor yacht.
