The Great Pan Amnesty at The Professional Cookware Company® in Gunwharf Quays

In collaboration with healthcare charity, Sue Ryder Care

Fed up cooking with tired, jaded and worn out saucepans?  Well, thanks to quality cookware specialists, The Professional Cookware Company® at Gunwharf Quays you can trade your old pans in for new and at the same time help raise money for healthcare charity, Sue Ryder Care.

The Professional Cookware Company's® 'Great Pan Amnesty' is urging the nation to exchange its old saucepans for an exclusive 10% discount of the company's ProCook® collection of sparkling pan sets and separates.  Running from 31 March to 18 May, the 'Great Pan Amnesty' also hopes to raise vital funds for Sue Ryder Care through the sale of donated unwanted saucepans via the charity's shops.

Daniel O'Neill, Marketing director said, "The Great Pan Amnesty encourages people to pop into the Professional Cookware Company® store at Gunwharf Quays with anything from one of granny's old aluminium pans or auntie's old fryer, to a whole set of worn out 1970's saucepans and exchange it for any of our ProCook® ranges of Gourmet, T304 Stainless Steel, T304 Anodised, Elite Tri Ply Stainless Steel, Elite Anodised or the incredible Titanium cookware, all guaranteed for 25 years*."

Daniel added, "By bringing us your old saucepans, people are also helping to support the invaluable work of Sue Ryder Care as all the old pans that we receive will be passed on to the charity's shops for resale or recycling."

Money raised from the sale of unwanted saucepans at Sue Ryder Care shops will help the charity care for more people living with conditions including multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, cancer and stroke.

Kay Barnes, Recycling Business Development Manager at Sue Ryder Care, is hoping that the campaign will raise awareness about the issues surrounding reuse.  Kay said, "The Great Pan Amnesty is a great way to encourage people not to throw items that can be re-used in the bin, but instead donate to our shops.  We will endeavour to sell as many of the donated saucepans through our shops, and the pans that we can't sell, we will recycle.

"All unwanted saucepans received can be converted into vital funds to enable us to continue to provide care that liberates lives."

The Professional Cookware Company® has a wide range of quality cookware to choose from including the new ProCook® three and five piece black Gourmet sets.  Constructed from alluring enamelled aluminium and all with Teflon coated, non-stick interiors and stay-cool silicone handles, they will add a touch of affordable drama to your kitchen.  Or choose from the company's T304 Stainless Steel and Anodised cookware ranges which have been firm favourites with keen cooks and professionals alike for over a decade - and with separates starting at only £26.95 they make an excellent choice if you prefer self basting glass lids and hollow stainless heat resistant handles.

People can drop their old saucepans to any of The Professional Cookware Company's® 38 stores across the country.
