Chilled Bandstand

August 1st - August 29th 2010

Chill out on the waterfront this summer with some great music over lunch or as the sun goes down.

This August Gunwharf Quays will echo to the gentle sounds of the Chilled Waterfront Sessions. This relaxed series of free live jazz and ambient music performances begin on Sunday 1st August with Jazz Morley whose soft soulful vocals are often compared to Celine Dion.

Every Thursday and Friday evening from 6.30-8.30pm and Sunday from midday-2.30pm, the Chilled Waterfront Sessions will showcase some of the county’s best Jazz Diva’s, acoustic and a cappela acts, including Sarah Pritchard, the Visitors and The Bovril Sisters.

While on Sunday 22 August the public have the chance to pick the winner of All About The Song – the much awaited final of the regions annual singer-songwriter competition with Express FM and The Cellars of Eastney.

The Sessions will offer the perfect accompaniment for a refreshing drink or delicious meal in one of the centre’s many cosmopolitan bars and restaurants. Or even the ideal opportunity to just sit down and relax in the summer sun.
