Gunwharf Quays Marina celebrates New Year with Four Anchor Accreditation.
The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA), part of the British Marine Federation (BMF), has awarded Gunwharf Quays Marina the ‘four Anchor' accreditation; the marina industry equivalent of the AA and RAC hotel star ratings. The Marina is now one of only 400 marinas worldwide, to be recognised with gold anchor status, with only 6% achieving the illustrious four anchor status.
“I am delighted to receive the Four Anchor Award from the Yacht Harbour Association. The award recognises the tremendous effort from my marina manager Dan Jehan and his team, who have worked tirelessly to increase customer service, standard of operation, maintenance and cleanliness, and generally raise the customer experience” commented Peter Emery, Gunwharf Quays Centre Director.
The Gold Anchor scheme is recognised both industry and consumer wide. John Turgoose, auditor from the TYHA said "Berth holders have welcomed and praised the Gunwharf Quays Marina new management. By adopting a flexible approach to pricing in order to both fill and change the image of the marina, the new team has increased occupancy of the 500m berthing from 20% to the present 75%. Berths are let based on a contract which is specific to the site and marina is clearly well maintained and managed.”
