Chinese New Year Celebrations at Gunwharf Quays
Families are invited to a 'Peking Opera Lion' make up workshop, and given the opportunity to make traditional style Lion masks using papercut patterns and stencil printed tabards.
Visitors can learn Little Lion moves wearing the new masks and join in the Lion Dance performance parade!
There will also be traditional folk music and Chinese calligraphy demonstrations courtesy of the Portsmouth Chinese Association.
Activities start at 10am in the marquee in Central Square and the fist Lion Dance will start from Marks and Spencer at 12pm and will move around Gunwharf Quays.
