Spanish galleons such as these sailed the commercial and cultural routes which, for more than three centuries (XVI-XVIII), linked Spain with America and the Philippines through the so-called fleets of the Indies. It was the longest sea route both in geography and duration within the history of navigation.

The Galleon Andalucia was built by the Nao Victoria Foundation.
